GET Group, a leading provider of mobile ID technology, has announced that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) started to accept Utah Mobile Driver’s Licenses via the GET Mobile App as a valid travel credential in TSA Precheck lines at airports across the country.
This partnership between the Transportation Security Administration and GET Group provides Utah residents with a secure and contactless way to verify their identity when traveling. By using the GET Mobile App to present their mobile driver's license, travellers can easily navigate TSA Precheck lines at airports and avoid the need to present a physical ID.
Alex Kambanis, the President and Managing Director of GET Group North America, said the change means people who have a mobile license won't have to fumble around for their wallets as they go through the TSA Precheck lines at Salt Lake City International Airport.
"We are excited to work with TSA and other entities as they recognize the efficiency, enhanced security and privacy of mobile driver licenses," he said. "We're proud to offer a (Mobile Driver's License) as an option for Utahns at Salt Lake City and other airports nationwide."
To use the Utah Mobile Driver’s License via the GET Mobile App in TSA Precheck lines, travellers must download the app and complete the registration process, which includes a secure identity verification process. Once verified, the mobile driver's license will be available for use in TSA PreCheck lines at participating airports.
GET Group has a proven track record of developing and deploying innovative mobile ID solutions that provide greater security and convenience to individuals and organizations worldwide. The partnership with the TSA and Utah Driver License Division is the latest example of GET Group's commitment to advancing the field of mobile ID technology.
