The main purpose of the system is to automate the process of machine-readable VISA issuing in embassies and entry gates / borders. The system is a web application designed taking into consideration the nature of issuing sites (the embassies) locations where they are located in different countries. Due to the sensitive nature of the visa issuance data, data encryption is supported by the system to protect data sent and received between different embassies and main site. The issuing cycle illustrated in this document is totally configurable to fit any requirements might be needed by the issuing authority.
